Overview

PT → Reaper Converter ("the App") is developed by Aleksei Breitburg. This policy describes how the App handles your data. It applies to both the Mac App Store version and the version downloaded directly from our website. Our other product, WindowCast, and our website are covered in their own sections below.

Data Collection

The App collects and transmits the following data solely for license verification and purchase management:

  • Hardware UUID — a unique identifier of your Mac, used to bind the license to your device.
  • License key — stored locally in the macOS Keychain and transmitted to the license server for validation.
  • Validation timestamp — the date and time of the last successful license check.
  • Apple Transaction ID (Mac App Store version) — after an in-app purchase, the App sends your StoreKit purchase transaction, which includes your Apple Transaction ID, to our backend to verify the purchase and issue a license key for device-limit management. No other Apple account information (name, email, or payment details) is collected.
  • Email address (website purchases) — for purchases made through our website, your email address and the issued license key are stored so we can deliver the license and provide support.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • The App does not collect, transmit, or store any audio files, session data, or conversion results.
  • The App does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks.
  • The App does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any personal files beyond those you explicitly select through the file picker.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase (supabase.co) — license verification and purchase-registration backend, hosted in India (Mumbai region). Supabase Privacy Policy
  • Apple StoreKit — In-App Purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Data Storage

  • License data is stored locally in the macOS Keychain (encrypted by the operating system).
  • Server-side records contain: license key, hardware UUID, activation date, last validation date, and — depending on how the license was purchased — the Apple Transaction ID and the license key issued for it (Mac App Store purchases) or the buyer's email address (website purchases).
  • All server-side records are stored on Supabase infrastructure located in India (Mumbai region).

Data Retention

The mapping between your Apple Transaction ID and your license key is retained indefinitely so that we can recover your key if you lose access to your device or your App Store account. Other license records are retained for the duration of the license. You can request deletion by contacting us, except where we must keep the minimum mapping needed for purchase recovery and fraud prevention.

License Key Recovery

To recover a license key, email info@filmsound.ai with your Apple Transaction ID. You can find it in the App Store app under Account → Purchase History → the relevant purchase.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with any third party other than the infrastructure provider (Supabase) used to operate the license service.

WindowCast

WindowCast is a separate product. It streams video directly between your Mac and Apple Vision Pro over your local Wi-Fi (UDP). No data passes through external servers, and no video content, metadata, or usage data is collected or transmitted externally — all streaming stays on your local network.

Website & Contact Form

When you use the contact form on our website, we collect the name, email address and message you provide, stored securely on Cloudflare infrastructure and used solely to respond to your inquiry. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of its infrastructure. We use no additional analytics or tracking, and set no tracking cookies.
